4 Steps for creating a Stretch & Conditioning Routine.
CREATING A STRETCH & CONDITIONING ROUTINE
STEP ONE
PLAN AHEAD
Use your Dance Diary or your Stretch Routine download to write out what stretches you will do each day over the week. Planning takes away 'decision fatigue', which means you are more likely to do something if it is planned!
STEP TWO
SELECT APPROPRIATE STRETCHES
Choose stretches or exercises that are going to help you achieve your dance goals. Also think about specific stretches that your teachers, coaches or physiotherapists have given you and be sure to schedule these in.
STEP THREE
SELECT A TIME
Set a specific time of day when you will complete your stretches. You can also set an alarm to remind yourself.
STEP FOUR
REWARD AND REFLECT
Reward yourself for being consistent with your stretch routine! Celebrate your success and reflect on the progress you made over the week. This will help keep you motivated and committed to your stretch and conditioning routine!
